Setting Items Displayed in the Map Window
You can set the following GeoMedia SDI Portal elements on the Settings tab:
- To change the parameter value that specifies the screen size (which affects the scale calculation), type a required value for the screen size in the The size of the screen in inches field, and click Apply.
- To turn the coordinates display on or off, in the bottom-left corner of the map window click Show coordinates.
- To turn the scale bar display on or off, in bottom-right corner of the map window click Show scale .
- To turn the navigator display on or off, click Show navigator.
- Click Show crosshair to turn the cross-hair display on or off. The cross hair indicates the center of a map window.
- Set the behavior for items in the select set. These settings determine how items are displayed on the map when you select objects in the data window. The following are possible settings:
- View at current scale – After selecting an item in the data window, a corresponding object on the map is displayed and highlighted at the current map scale.
- Center at current scale– After selecting an item in the data window, a corresponding object on the map is displayed and highlighted at the current map scale, and the object is centered. The map view changes.
- Fit and zoom out – After selecting an item in the data window, a corresponding object on the map is highlighted and zoomed to the value in the field.

- Click Apply after each settings change.
- To restore default settings, click Reset values. You can change all settings except the coordinate system.
